John Cena on Monday Night Raw

DX def. Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show (WWE Champion John Cena was on commentary)
Two weeks before Survivor Series, Triple H & Shawn Michaels offered WWE Champion John Cena a preview of what awaits him in that trio’s Triple Threat Match. The DX duo faced down Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show, who themselves will combat World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker in their own battle of three.

With The Champ looking on from the announcer’s table, the teams punished one another until The World’s Largest Athlete attempted to seal Michaels’ fate. As HBK fended off an attack from Jericho, Show illegally charged him. When Show attempted to land a knock out punch on Michaels, though, he accidentally connected with his partner, allowing HBK to score the pin.

While the turn of events was unforeseen, the biggest surprise came after the match. The WWE Champion revealed that next week’s Raw will include a Triple Threat Tag Team Match involving three teams: DX, Jeri-Show and … John Cena & The Undertaker! Each of the teams appeared as stunned as the WWE Universe as the World Heavyweight Champion slowly and deliberately walked down the entrance ramp, eyeing his opponents.

  1. Yeah indeed. He also did a pretty good job on commentary putting over the Triple Threat match, which is something that needed to be done. Also, next week looks like a great main event on paper with the WWE and World Champ teaming together against DX and Jeri-Show. Also, a lot of people hate the buildup so far in the WWE Championship triple threat match, but what if WWE does this on purpose? Think about it: if every other match is built up with enough intrigue, it makes people want to buy the PPV. If the fans are set up with low expectations, it makes the WWE Championship match sort of a wild card and gives the participants multiple opportunities to prove why they belong at the top of the pack and to exceed the hype’s expectations. Two instances on how low hype became good matches: the Cena/Orton Four Pack of matches. With the exception of Summerslam being overbooked in my view, every match exceeded the expectations of fans and critics. Also, the Cena/Batista match at Summerslam last year had the worst hype out of any match that I can recall and it ended up being a pretty good match. There are people who would probably not consider ordering Survivor Series, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the triple threat match exceeds its lowly expectations and possibly steals the show.

And I believe that I started something interesting on the transcript that I sent to you. Some of the stuff being said raises quite a few eyebrows to me. It seems like ANY of these girls would take anything that is a rumor or flat out BS and try to turn it into fact. Two of the girls on there are pretty much trying to convince me and a lot of visitors to listen to their point of view, which is petty. Wouldn’t you say?

  2. lesnabis: What happen to RAW this week? The worst RAW seen for a long long time. No Match for John Cena. Is WWE wanted to discourage people to watch raw on TV? The following TV rating will show the disinterest of people for WWE!Cena looks very tired seated on the announce table. He looks not in tremendous health in the WWE day’s photo as well! Hope he has not health problem!

  3. In response to what you said yesterday, here are my thoughts:

Yeah indeed. I think that he’d make a pretty good father as well. One word for anyone who believes anything: gullible.

  4. Have you noticed that now that the three (DX and Cena) are in a feud together, no one is moaning that John isn’t taking his competition seriously? That is the usual reaction, what about DX? Does the same not apply to them? Its just hypocritical of people to say that, yet its a missed test for DX. If I said I was just excited for the Undertaker/Cena pairing, I’d be lying. I can NOT wait to see those two team up as they are two of my favourite wrestlers and its something we haven’t seen, a real star studded main-event for the most famous arena in the world. Yes, while a little build will result in it surprising most people, its going to be interesting to see… And I completely agree with the Batista/Cena comment; it just left me wanting more, how can WWE not be thinking about part II? I’m hoping the match steals the show at Survivor Series, hell it has the potential to. They have three great competitors: Michaels, HHH and Cena who will definitely give it their all and while rewatching a few old tapes the other day of Cena/Michaels confrontations, the pairing of the two in a match just spells success. I loved the England bout between the two, pity that Cena didn’t actually win the match though. It was a great near-hour match.

Yes, I can’t believe some of the stuff I have read in that particular topic. It seems that most are blinded by their emotional attachment to John Cena (one way emotional attachment, of course!). It seems that they will take any radical outburst and turn it so that IS the official story. Of course, making a fool of themselves in the process. I can’t believe how gullible people are sometimes.
