The next issue of Inside Wrestling features The Rock and John Cena on the cover of the magazine with a headline reading: “Hot WrestleMania Rumor – John Cena vs. The Rock.” The sister publication of Pro Wrestling Illustrated claims that the “mega-bout is closed to being signed.” The article’s synopsis reads: “The relationship between The Rock and John Cena is strange. Cena respects all The Rock has accomplished yet seems to resent it at the same time. That is why “The Champ” is pining for a match with The Rock at WWE’s showcase event. Guy, I just saw the magazine cover for myself and it says that the match between The Rock and Cena is strictly rumor at this point. I know that a lot of the fickle IWC would like him to come back, but I think that the match won’t happen since he’s doing well making movies. Just like many, I would agree that if this match were to happen, it would be fun to see. Sort of like a Rock/Hogan thing, wouldn’t you say?
Then again, Cena is that rare case for a superstar in that any match he has at a Wrestlemania will have major significance. Here are my choices on who I think that he will face at ‘Mania this year.
- CM Punk (the match last Monday night gave fans a sneak preview of what those two can do given the right amount of time, and it was a dandy to see)
- Batista (it’s been one year since fans have seen another between Cena and Batista, but this time Batista is a heel)
- Undertaker (the Tombstone he received a couple of weeks ago gave way to speculation about a match between the two gladiators; Cena would have to play the heel in the match because Undertaker has the respect factor from the WWE Universe.

John Cena vs. The Rock, there’s no way Cena would win. The Rock may be a retired hall of famer, but he is still in great shape. John Cena is obviously threatened by the Rock because of how big his fan base was. Most of the Rock’s fans stopped watching WWE because he retired. If they do compete at Wrestlemania, Cena better change up his moves and stop being so predictable if he plans on beating The Great One.

I believe Rock would definitely won the competition as he had got more WWE techniques than Cena nevertheless Cena too is a great wrestler but no way he can defeat THE ROCK “Peoples Champion”

Infact the other day i got like loads of detention because i was throwing people off tables in English class because they were all saying Pumped up gay boy Cena which really pissed me off, i sent this fat kid to hosbital with a broken nose :S

John Cena is very strong he’s The Champ but The Rock is The People’s Champ.

The only reason why The Rock would lose is because that will be the storyline since the rock wont be there full time wrestling so why would they let him win.. The rock is better ten times better.. Even randy orton said in a interview that john cena has alot of talent but he cant wrestle… Randy Orton even knows Cena cant wrestle he is just an entertainer. Cena will win because it would not make sense for th erock to come back for one night and beat Cena..
I like the rock more……But I like john cena most. Randy orton can’t say that cena can’t WRESTLE, because he lost to john cena. If he had beaten john in an opportunity, he would’ve rights to comment on john.
