John Cena called out Sheamus
Having survived being blindsided by Sheamus the week prior, WWE Champion John Cena dared The Celtic Warrior to try and slam him through a table again. Rather than Sheamus, though, The Champ received Carlito in the ring.The Boriqua brother admitted that were Cena to lose at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, Carlito and, allegedly, a host of other Superstars would cheer at the tops of their lungs. Carlito described how he and others are tired of always seeing Cena’s name atop the marquee. Before Carlito could spit his trademark apple in The Champ’s face, though, Cena beat him down and sent him scurrying. That’s when Sheamus showed, but he only stared Cena down before leaving to fight another day.

I agree as well, John Cena was already Pissed at Shaemus for putting through a table last week and Carlito made him even more angry at what he said. Nobody messes with John Cena especially when he is angry. I would not want to be in Shaemus’ shoes at TLC, John Cena will tear him apart and put him through a table.

Avery, the video should work. Its in WMV format. Is it able to unzip properly? Perhaps you need WinRar or something akin to that to properly extract.
In my opinion, Raw wasn’t a great show but it was far from terrible in my mind. At least most of the segments were instrumental in the build to TLC. Verne Troyer did okay in my mind, but he had a large pair of shoes to fill after Governor Ventura figurative and literally. I’m guessing that the creative team gets a much needed breather for lack of a better term because the superstars are now in Iraq for the seventh annual Tribute to the Troops. They have next week to plan for (Mark Cuban’s in charge), the TLC PPV, and then the Slammy awards in two weeks.
The DX/JeriShow match at TLC has a lot of intrigue behind it thanks to Jericho’s work on the stick. At least DX wasn’t making light of the situation, which was a nice thing and a refreshing change of pace in my mind. Will JeriShow get the last word or will DX take over 2 brands, 3 if you count ECW? The handicap match result caught me off guard, because it is usually a babyface that has to face dastardly heels. With the ball in their court, will DX get more momentum or can Jericho pull off the impossible?
A lot of people think Sheamus doesn’t deserve to be in a match with John simply because it’s been said that he and Triple H are friends. My advice to them is to see how it plays out and stop complaining. Those same people complain that it’s the same old faces in main events, but when Sheamus became the #1 contender, people start flipping out. And besides, I’m guessing that John loves working with younger talent and making them look good in the end. Remember, this is the same guy who managed to make Umaga, Khali, and Bobby Lashley serious threats to the WWE Championship in 2007. I knew that Sheamus was going to use a table in his match with Santino, and the segment did a good job in building up Sheamus as a threat to the WWE title.
The Mark Henry skits weren’t that funny, but there’s nothing wrong with talent trying to prove that they are not just one dimensional performers. The name John Cena comes to mind as it relates to this particular statement.
Speaking of John, what an entrance and a sweet ride for the WWE Champ to boot; I believe that he drove a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. I’m guessing why he arrived late was because he was probably promoting the Tribute to the Troops special. Instead of acknowledging the crowd, he stormed to the ring like he meant business and did an awesome job on the stick basically demanding Sheamus to come out and fight. To everyone’s surprise, Carlito came out and verbally ran down Cena. A lot of people will think that Sheamus was booked like a coward after refusing to fight when Carlito was decked and got his attitude adjusted. However, I think that he’s just biding his time for when the WWE Championship is on the line in two weeks. By the way, it looks like Carlito’s famous hairstyle was tampered with a weed whacker and he’s clean shaven. And speaking of the Caribbean crabapple, where HAS he been? Last I remember him; he had just turned on Primo after losing the Unified Tag Team Championship and was contending for the US Championship against Kofi.
I’m not surprised that The Miz’s promo had to do with Verne’s size and the role that he had as Mini Me in the Austin Powers 2 and 3. I will admit that I am still a mark for Austin Powers, but were the lines really necessary? At least the writers kept the short jokes to a minimum with Verne and DX is still facing charges after abusing Hornswoggle.
The Orton/Kofi match was a little overbooked in my mind due to the interference and damage done by Legacy, but it served its purpose well. In most of the interactions, Kofi has gotten the best of Orton. By Orton beating Kingston with an RKO and then doing his trademark hangman’s DDT off the top rope, it now give Orton some sort of momentum and now makes Kingston a sympathetic babyface who the fans can rally behind. I’m guessing that Kingston teams up with Henry and MVP to take on Orton and Legacy in a six man tag team match at TLC.
