Breaking Down Entrances – The Top Three

Throughout the years John Cena has graced us with unforgettable moments both in the ring and out of the ring. One thing us fans look forward to the most is seeing Cena’s new creation in the form of entrances at WrestleMania. He has provided us with great moments that we undoubtedly cherish as fans: we have seen him crash through glass panes while driving at high-speeds, go back in time to the Great Depression, bring back his football roots with a marching band and more recently create a spin-off entrance of Eminem’s. Thanks to the always awesome NMS, we have complete recaps [of the three best in our minds], complete with videos of the entrances below as we look forward to the WrestleMania 26 entrance.

WM22 – Mafia Themed Entrance

A video played tying into events of the Great Depression with Cena’s message of Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect. The stage lifted and then a 1930’s car coupled with a horde of gangsters came out and walked around ringside. “The Time is Now” blared over the Allstate Arena as the WWE Champion John Cena made his way to the ring in a hat and a long coat. Cena then stripped off the Mafia-themed apparel and then proceeded to pull out a Tommy gun and fire it overhead. Instead of his normal enthusiasm, he had a look of pure determination as he went to battle “The King of Kings.”

WM23 – Mustang Entrance

A Ford Mustang was showed outside Detroit, MI. This very city is known to many as the Motor City and is the place where most American cars were made. The Mustang then started driving quickly like a car in the Need for Speed games until it got to Ford Field. The Mustang went into a back area of sorts and then kept picking up speed. Finally, it came to a halt and then proceeded to crash through a glass WrestleMania 23 sign. “The Time is Now” blared over Ford Field and the WWE Champion John Cena emerged from the car ready to do battle with “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels.

WM25 – “The Real Slim Shady” entrance

A lot of fans out there want to know how creative his over-the-top entrance will be at WrestleMania. With the Mafia-themed entrance at WM22, the Ford Mustang entrance at WM23, and the Marching Band entrance at WM24, one had to wonder what the former Doctor of Thuganomics had in mind at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania. After the World Heavyweight Champion Edge and “The World’s Largest Athlete” The Big Show made their entrances, Cena’s old theme song “Basic Thuganomics” blared over Reliant Stadium and a number of Cena lookalikes marched to the ring. Those lookalikes would line up on both sides of the entrance ramp and assume the position like Cena when he made his triumphant return to the Royal Rumble in 2008. The music then stopped, the lookalikes would raise one hand when pyro went off, and they would do the “You Can’t See Me” gesture. “The Time is Now” started playing and the real John Cena made his way to the ring. He surveyed the scene, gave his trademark salute, and then sprinted to the ring through the army of Cenas ready to do battle with Edge and Big Show.

WM26?

With these creative entrances, one has to wonder what the number one contender for the WWE Championship has in store for the WWE Universe this year.
